Returns & Refunds Policy

🚚 If We Send the Wrong Part

  • We cover the cost of return shipping.
  • Once received back in original, unused, resalable condition, we will dispatch the correct part at no extra charge.

↩️ If You Ordered the Wrong Part

  • Return shipping is for the buyer’s account.
  • Returns are accepted only if the item is unused, in its original packaging, and resalable.
  • Items showing installation, damage, contamination, or wear won’t qualify.
  • If a return is rejected, you may collect the item or pay for re-shipping.

📦 Free Shipping – Terms & Conditions

  • Applies to main provincial city centres only. Remote areas are excluded unless serviced by our designated courier.
  • Orders with free shipping are dispatched within 2–7 business days after payment reflects.
  • If a correctly supplied item is returned, a handling fee applies and return shipping is for the buyer.

📝 General Return Conditions

  • Return requests must be communicated within 5 days of purchase.
  • Items must be securely packaged (e.g., bubble wrap) with all contents included. Poorly packaged returns that arrive damaged will be rejected.
  • Price-based returns (e.g., “found it cheaper elsewhere”) aren’t accepted under the CPA.
  • All returns are subject to management assessment and approval.

⚡ Electrical & Electronic Items

  • All electrical/electronic products are tested before dispatch.
  • Due to manufacturer policies, no returns are accepted for electrical or electronic items.

🛡️ Warranty Coverage

  • Most new products carry a 6-month limited warranty unless the product page states otherwise.
  • Second-hand parts are sold without warranty.
  • Electronics are not returnable once fitted. Claims require a certified diagnostic report confirming the fault prior to purchase (handheld readers aren’t accepted).
  • Damage like burnt alternators, starters, sensors, or regulators is not covered.
  • Warranties exclude damage from misuse, poor installation, unauthorised repair, third-party damage, or force majeure.

🧰 Installation Requirements for Warranty Validity

To qualify for warranty support, the part must be:

  • Installed by MVA Spares, a qualified automotive technician, or an RMI-accredited service centre.
  • Fitted per OEM specifications (correct torque, approved gaskets/lubricants, diagnostic calibration, approved tools).

Warranty claims must include:

  • Fitment job card & installation invoice
  • Odometer reading
  • Accreditation of the fitment centre
  • Certified diagnostic report

🔧 Special Products

TCU / Mechatronic Units

  • Reconditioned units: 3-month warranty.
  • New units: 6-month warranty.
  • Both require correct programming & installation by RMI-accredited personnel. Incorrect programming voids the warranty.

Android Radios

  • 6-month limited warranty if installed by MVA Spares or an accredited auto electrician, with proof of fitment.
  • No cash refunds. Store credit may be issued at our discretion. Courier charges are non-refundable.
  • Returns must be requested within 5 days of receipt and include all packaging & accessories. Items returned without fault will be rejected; shipping costs are for the customer.
  • Out-of-warranty repairs are for the customer’s account (including courier fees).
  • Return/warranty claims are processed within 30 days of receipt.
  • Warranty is void if damaged, incorrectly installed, modified, used outside intended purpose, or if serial/warranty seals are tampered.

📜 Risk & Ownership

  • Risk transfers to the buyer upon delivery or collection. Please insure goods if needed.
  • Items remain the property of MVA Spares until paid in full.

Important: All returns, refunds, and warranty claims are subject to inspection and approval by MVA Spares management.
